'My work is concerned with the urban landscape, in particular the city environment. I am interested in linear compositions, created by urban constructions and architecture. I am fascinated with unusual view points which can exaggerate perspective, whether it be looking up towards the tops of buildings in Leeds, or viewing the towering skyscrapers in Manhatten, New York. I would like my work to make people more aware of the amazing architecture which surrounds them everyday. For example, if you look above shop fronts in any city centre you will see a whole new world of structural lines and shapes. I see buildings as beautiful constructions rather than just places for living and working. Buildings for me affect the skyline and the whole mood and atmosphere of the city.'
